We use kitchen scales constantly to calculate carbs, so have used many of them over the years. This is by far the nicest one ever for several reasons:1) Came with the 50g weight shown in my pics and even has a storage place underneath for it.2) The device can be calibrated to align with said weight.3) The item is much larger than most others we’ve used, as demonstrated by it being the length of a typical pencil.4) Came with both 2-AAA batteries and a USB-C to USB-A cord to plug this into the wall (I’ve not encountered a dual power option unit before).5) The device claims to be waterproof and even has as photo showing it dunked in water. I didn’t want to replicate that, but if even half true then this should last awhile.Measures to the 1/10th of a gram, which is perfect for counting carbs. 1/100th of a gram isn’t necessary, but many of these only go down to full gram increments, which is too much wiggle room. 1/10th is preferred, and this delivers.Very accurate out of the box, and numbers are easy to read. Not backlit, and doesn’t need to be, so batteries should last longer than most. Does not include the typical cover, which was odd, but as this can we wiped down with a wet cloth (or doused in the sink?), should stay clean. Helpful instructions, written in understandable English, but the font is very small. Great value considering it’s about the same price as much smaller and inferior ones.
