I had an unusual injury to my right hand, and for the last 10 months have been undergoing physical therapy for my fingers. Long story short, my index finger (of my dominant hand) has not relented in the swelling, and every single morning is super stiff despite months of physical therapy.A friend of mine suggested the red light therapy for improved healing, and I’ll be honest, I was skeptical.But… I figured if I invest in a small light, it can’t hurt too much to try. So here I am.First, in all my research, I will say, that a smaller light will require that it be closer to the area of interest, and you’ll have to do at least two 15 min sessions daily. A proper light is in the several hundreds range, and I was not willing to spend that kind of money, so instead, I went for the smaller light knowing I could only work one small area at a time. I literally bent the neck of this light to shine on my right hand, and for the last five days, have been doing two sessions daily of 15 minutes each.At first, I thought I was wasting my time, until, for the first time, this morning, as I started my daily stretching exercises for my stiff finger…. my finger was not so stiff, and not as swollen as it had been the last several months. It was hardly stiff actually. All day I’ve been amazed at how much more movement I have in my finger, and I’m amazed. I’ve been working on my finger for months, then did this light for five days, and wow.I suppose it could have been coincidence, but I don’t think so. I’m going to keep using it in hopes I get back to 100% range of motion. I’ll post an update as soon as I have more data.And the cell phone stand is nice, just note that if you have a case on your phone, it probably won’t fit. But I didn’t buy it for that reason, so can’t fault it for that.

Effective lamp for relaxation and skin rejuvenation
I have ordered this lamp after researching about red light therapy for relaxation and skin rejuvenation. We have been using it for several weeks now, and here are my observations:1. The lamp came very well packaged; it was easy to assemble and operate. The lamp has a base and a flexible rod with the light unit on top. The cord has a plastic hub, that houses buttons for power, time and light intensity. There are three time periods (10, 20, and 30 min) and ten different light settings.2. Despite being rather small (lamp’s outline is a square with 4 ¼ in. sides, and the light area is 9 sq. in.), the lamp covers a rather wide area, when it is on. The small size and easy disassembly make the lamp very portable and convenient for traveling.3. The base of the lamp is sturdy, and even has a place for a cellphone. The lamp is attached to the base with a gooseneck that swivels 360°, which is super convenient – I just set the lamp once, and can adjust it without moving it to a different spot.4. It is indicated that the lamp has wavelength of 660 nm, 730nm, and 850nm of infrared light therapy. I am not sure how you can measure the wavelength at home, but the light does seem to relax me and sooth my skin. It feels less red, itchy and dry, especially, if I apply cream after the red-light session.5. There are two small shortcomings I found with this lamp. First, a design oddity that I can’t understand. The lamp that I’ve got has a cord coming straight out of the light area, which makes it a bit tricky to adjust the direction of the light. Especially, it is awkward, when the cord is on top. The lamp in the listing’s picture does not have that. In the picture, the cord seems to come from the bottom of the base (which is normal for any lamp) rather than from the bulb area. Second, I am not sure if the light is beneficial for your eyes or if you should always wear the glasses (which were included with the lamp). In the listing, the pictures show people using the lamp during the day, while they are doing regular activities. I have read that you should always wear glasses with infrared lamps, so I always do when I use this lamp. I would like to know, however, if the intensity of light has anything to do with the wearing of glasses. It is not clear from the instructions or the listing.Overall, I like this lamp and have been using it for several weeks now for my skin and general well-being successfully. I think, it is priced on par with other similar devices ($ 36.99) and provides effective red-light therapy for my skin and pleasant rest for my body and mind. If you are interested in red light therapy and are looking for a simple starter device with wide coverage, this lamp is worth checking out.

I love this high-quality IR light.It works and works well. I have noticed that over time (a few weeks of regular use), the positive effects are lasting longer and longer.The light comes with two types of eye protection: a mask and sunglasses. It has adjustable brightness. The low intensity is very low, and high is extremely bright. It’s still too bright with the glasses; the mask is much more effective. It has a timer. There is an always-on mode and three timers of ten minutes, twenty minutes, and thirty minutes. It’s easy to use with good directions and all functions are marked right on the controller.The IR light is a good-quality build; an excellent value. The base is heavy enough to keep it stable. The mounting pole is adjustable for different heights. The top half is bendable and adjusts to almost any angle.
