This fan is ingenious. The white noise, comes from the fan itself. Its not a digital sound. A unique feature of this, is a small opening where the air comes out. Seems to be made well.

I have used this every night upon going to bed. Its small semi quiet and has a nice rotating base so it can spread the air around. The timer can be a bit confusing if you are not looking. It has settings for 1, 2, 4,8 hours. Just have to remember what you want it to be set onIt’s a nice size for a desk topIt also comes with a sort of damper on the airflow. You can slide it down to set how strong you want the air flow to be or not.It has been a great purchaseI do however think you can use it as a window fan , but I havent tried it

Yes, the answer is yes! I’ve always been an extensive collector of fans over the years to help with sleep hygiene. I was actually thinking of returning it before I tried it out sleeping because of its dimensions and small opening for air flow.However, this fan does sound different than just your normal fan. The “pink noise” is a complete value and would highly recommend giving this machine a chance for all the conscientious, sleep hygiene consumers.

Can’t turn off panel light
It’s a good fan but the light doesn’t turn off. I am not sure why it says “auto dim”. The other older versions with the touch top I was able to turn the light completely off. Annoys me when sleeping.

Terrible Weak Fan- Useless
I bought this primarily as a fan and thought of the “pink noise” as bonus. It is not a good fan. The air that comes out is only from the little box in the front AND only half of that little box- half of it is covered in plastic underneath the grill. You can see it in ONE of the product pictures.With such a small concentrated stream, directional control is important but this is really limited. Ex if I’m sitting at a desk and want to feel it on my face, I have to lift it physically to my face. I guess it’s meant to point down on to people sleeping which is so limited. If I’m wearing clothes a couple feel away and it’s blowing right on me, I can’t feel it. Small stream and not powerful either.As for the pink noise, it’s nice only on the lowest fan setting. After that, the effort of the motor changes the sound. When you close the door to put it on just sound mode, it changes the quality of the sound a lot- high pitched struggle as the air wants to get out.Side note, the product box looked like it had been through a war. I’ve obviously been sent someone else’s return and I will be returning also. I needed it for hot flashes and this will only make me frustrated in the night.
