so good!
Oh wow. I have been using Kachava and thought I’d try this as I use Throne vitamins. This product is delicious! I use it at night for hot chocolate. I have found that by making it super thick it is like chocolate pudding. I put it in my coffee for a latte… It mixes better than any protein drink I’ve tried. Just delicious. Now I hope it is good for me.

Great product
My doctor recommended this brand because of the quality ingredients. I ordered this and the creatine. Both are great!

It made my head swell up
The amount of sodium in this product is insane. I understand it’s for athletes but I do yoga everyday and I lift weights 3 days a week plus cardio. The amount of sodium in just 2 scoops was enough to almost stroke me out. I had insane swelling and pain from one of these shakes. It tastes great though, better than any other protein shake I’ve tried. It’s not wheat allergy safe though just so ppl know. The facility isn’t wheat free. Also lead warning on package means they clean with heavy metals or chemicals before production. Not really worth the price for the fill mark.

Faithful Thorne customer two thumbs up
I’m familiar with the Thorne brand. I take several supplements and switched to Thorne after researching fillers and ‘natural/organic’ loopholes used by other brands. When it comes to nutritional supplements, it’s just as important to know what ISN’T in them. Most companies use the cheapest fillers and binders available (e.g. gelatin, stearic acid, maltodextrin, magnesium stearate) and although they are considered benign by the FDA, for those of us with sensitivity to certain compounds, it matters. This is the first protein powder from Thorne I’ve tried. I was overwhelmed looking for a good protein powder – dairy, plant-based, sugar content, digestion. When I saw the Thorne brand I knew it was worth a try. There is some debate on pea protein versus rice or others. I think they all have merit as alternatives to whey, but I like the fact that this is low sugar/carb because I’m diabetic. I also appreciate they didn’t add an ingredient to bump up the iron content. I already take an iron supplement. Too much iron isn’t good for men either, so the 4mg in this is nothing to worry about.Sweetness. I’ve noticed several comments that it’s very sweet, which is ironic since it isn’t high in sugar. I think sweetness is just unexpected in a protein powder. A surprise, not a flaw. Spices like chai, Ceylon cinnamon, ginger can all pair well with the sweetness to make a more dynamic flavor. If adding to a smoothie, test it carefully with bitter greens like chard. I think it clashes with turmeric, but I hate turmeric so I’m biased. For a plant-based protein powder that doesn’t have a long list of 5-syllable “additional ingredients” the value is solid. Current price is $50 which sounds high until you read the ingredients on the cheap stuff.Thorne isn’t the cheapest brand, it’s about quality. They don’t add anything they don’t have to, like coloring. I really appreciate that.Review of THORNE – Plant Protein – 22 Grams of Vegan Protein Powder – Pea, Rice & Chia Seed Protein with Complete Amino Acid Profile – NSF Certified for Sport – Chocolate – Gluten-Free – About 20 Servings (Chocolate)

Good
This thing surprised me. I love protein shakes, they are super easy to make and drink on the go. I usually bring a small shaker cup with me to work with just the powder in there and when I get to work I put in the water and shake it till nothing is touching the shaker cup and no dry powder. And this guy mixed just as good with the water. Dissolved easily after a few violent shakes.Taste was ok.Protein quality really goes by your opinion. I’m not a pea protein or rice protein fan, i think they are weaker and lower than your regular isolate and whey protein. BUT i do like that they got chia seeds in this! I do not like the fact that they hide the amount of it on the label.
