Durable construction; definitely give off that classic kitchen clog vibe
These shoes run large. I wear a 6 and there’s no going down from that, at least with the size offerings in the current listing. If you know your UK or European size it will help, although the size chart is still confusing in that it shows half sizes, but the shoe is not offered in half sizes.I put insoles in them, for both sizing and arch support, so I can wear them without feeling like they are going to fly off my feet, but the profile of the shoe feels huge at first, and they look a bit like clown shoes on me with my regular jeans. Wear them with wider legged pants if you want to minimize that effect. Obviously if you’re wearing them with chef pants this is not going to be such a contrast. They are advertised as kitchen or service industry shoes, and they fit that profile, so don’t buy them if you want to prance around on dainty little hooves.That said, the construction on them is quite good. Hi Tec is a very reputable brand and this shoe lives up to that. The base of the shoe is solid and supportive and should last a good while. The soles are noticeably non-slip. There are ventilation holes in the side of the shoe body- nice touch, because if you are using these for work purposes you probably can’t wear shoes that are too open, but they have still taken ventilation into account in the design.The finish is matte black, which I love. The asymmetrical toe box is very generous and won’t crowd your toes. The back of the heel is there, so it reads as a full shoe if your dress code requires it, but it’s cut low so you don’t get blister points or the back of the heel cutting into the Achilles tendon. I’m fully impressed with how comfortable and well-made these shoes are.Be aware of the sizing issue, but if you get them in the right size and/or use proper insoles, they will be a very functional, serviceable shoe for restaurant and service work.

Well made but not enough arch support for all day wear
I was really hoping these non slip clogs would work well for work (I teach and am on my feet all day) because they’re indistinct enough to just be “black shoes” under my wide leg pants, and since this brand makes work shoes, I figured they’d have good support. Unfortunately, these don’t have enough arch support for me to actually wear them at work.That said, if you don’t need (or want, depending on your foot shape) a lot of arch support, these seem well made and they fit well. They’re comfortable, and they fit like clogs (meaning there’s a bit of slippage when you walk that’s built into the design, but it keeps them from rubbing weird on the foot and causing hot spots).For now, these are going to be relegated to garden shoes, which they’ll actually probably work well for since I don’t need nearly as much arch support for that (I’m not on my feet nearly as long). They’re waterproof and should clean up easily too.

Too big, no arch support
I usually wear a size 7-7.5 and ordered a 7 in these. They are so big that my feet kept slipping out of them. You can see how much extra width there is in the picture. I couldn’t feel any arch support and my feet got very hot wearing them. They are okay for throwing on the check the mail, but I would be afraid to wear them in a restaurant that requires slip resistant because they would fall right off. Order a size down if you want to try them.

Perfect shoes to work around the house in!
I got these shoes to work around in the garden and out in the yard and they are great!The soles are extremely slip resistant and I sure need that out in the slick wet grass.When I saw they were ASTM F2913 I knew they would be very slip resistant and they definitely are….gummy and soft feeling on the bottom.They are very easy to clean, just spray them down with water and wipe clean.I like the ventilation holes, they keep your feet cooler and drier when it is hot.The insole is removable and also very comfortable and padded, you can feel the arch support and cushioning with every step.I can see these being very helpful for anyone on their feet all day, like nurses or people working in a restaurant.I like the 1 inch heel, that is enough to keep me out of the wet and dirt, but not tall enough to make them awkward so you trip or stumble.The slip on style makes them very easy to get on and off in just a second with no hands necessary.They do run a little big, so sizing down or wearing thicker socks would be the way to go.The good part about them running big is the toe box is wide and stable, you have plenty of room to move your toes and not feel confined in the shoe.I think they are a great value because they are a high quality shoe that you will get a lot of use out of because they are so durable.

Lightweight, comfortable and non-slip
I am a huge fan of HI-TEC hiking shoes, so I was very excited to try these slip-on clogs. They do not disappoint! They are lightweight and excellent quality. The outer shoe feels like a combination of rubber and plastic which is water resistant and easy to clean. The soles are thick and completely non-slip, which is essential for my job as an in-store grocery shopper.I love the little ventilation holes on the sides of the shoes which make them breathable and prevents sweaty and smelly feet! They are above the soles, which are very thick, so even when walking on freshly cleaned floors in the meat department, I get no water seeping in. I have quite a high instep, so I really appreciate the arch support, especially after an 8 hour shift where I am constantly on my feet and moving. The insoles provide excellent cushioning and I love that these shoes are slip on, so it’s easy to get up and go for the start of my 5am shifts. The shoes have a wide fit and I find them to be very roomy, so there’s no pinching or squeezing of my toes together.Overall these shoes are extremely comfortable, practical, smart looking and perfect for both work or play.
