HANDS DOWN BEST ICE BARRELL!! I am so happy we purchased the Ice Barrell 500. The barrell was delivered so quickly and though the barrell is large it wasn’t heavy or hard to install AT ALL. The quality is by far, the best. Not to mention the wonderful effects for why we bought it! Sleep, mood and recovery have improved! The little aches and pains of growing older seem to go away. We love that my 5’2″ self and 6’5″ husband can both use it- PERFECT FOR ANY SIZE. If you are at all hesitating to purchase, don’t hesitate. I promise you’ll love it!

I’m pretty handy, but i can’t get the unit to stop leaking on the lower drain. I have tried to call them, tried emailing them, contact them via their website and via amazon but won’t get back to m? I don’t want to return it because it is a great size and exactly what I wanted (except the leak). Hopefully I hear back soon (was 5 days ago) and I can change review.

Good quality & comfortable (best for people under 6ft if submerging)
Pricey, but high quality. Doesn’t sweat or leak, has just enough space for a 6ft2 person to get in up to your neck if you lean back a bit on the bench… or crouch sideways in front of the bench. If u want to submerge your head as a taller person this may be quite difficult (especially if you are not that flexible) but you can dip your face in. Because of the way the stairs and the drain are situated, it’s hard to drain completely other than turning it to the side and letting it dump out (because you would have to tip it the long way to drain out the “front”) but if you have it outside and can just dump it into a lawn thats easier (we just have ours in a basement and would prefer to drain it through the drain hole to keep it tidy so we just use sponges/chamois to get the last bit out but its effort. Otherwise definitely does the job and the stairs are really nice for people with knee problems that make it harder to get down low/step really high.

Best cold plunge on the market!
I’m in the middle of training for my first Ironman, and my coach suggested I try cold therapy. So, I got online and found the Ice Barrel 500, and it has made the biggest difference. I’m over six feet tall, so fitting inside other cold plunges has been a challenge for me. I used to be too focused on fitting and fully submerging in the water to concentrate on anything else, but now it’s easier to do breath-work while I’m plunging. This one is great because it allows me to fully submerge and even has some nice steps to get in and out, which I love. It’s super sturdy, feels well-made, and is also very easy to move and drain when it’s empty. It came with an awesome cover, which is helpful because I keep it outside. Since it’s about to start snowing, the cover will keep it in great shape for when I hop in every morning.My trainer was right—cold plunging was the key! Since using the barrel, my recovery time has sped up significantly, and I feel sharper all day. I can’t recommend it enough! My friends are also over all the time to use it because they love it.
