Moves quickly, reliable, nice and smooth.
I went with these because they also made a phenomenal athletic tape for my thumb grips. I wasn’t disappointed. This is an amazing speed rope. I use the thinner, pro rope for crossfit dubs and the bearings in the handle move so effortlessly. I like the design and the rope moves quick and accurately. This helps so much with executing your dubs. I’d collect more of these if in the future they had some additional handle designs!

This is a great rope, and if you’re new to cross training, you won’t regret this one. This kit contains everything needed for beginners & pro’s alike.The knurling on these aluminum handles is absolutely perfect. It’s aggressive enough to grip when your hands are sweaty (because let’s be honest, jump roping turns everyone into a human sprinkler system) but not so rough that it feels like you’re gripping sandpaper. Some ropes go overboard with texture—BARACUS nailed the sweet spot.Setup is refreshingly straightforward for this style of rope. In order to size it for YOU (because if you’re going to be good at jumping rope or double unders, realize the rope is a personalized tool adjusted for YOU, not for your hubby and the kids, etc) so to size: assemble one side of the rope, stick that handle into your armpit, stand 1 single foot on the cable, bring the other side of the rope to your other armpit… and cut with wire cutters. Assemble that side, done).No complicated adjustment systems or mysterious length charts—just practical geometry that actually works. The high-speed bearings spin smooth as butter, which is crucial when you’re trying to whip through double unders without the cable catching or stuttering.What really sets this apart from other top brands is the price. Admittedly, this is my first set of jump ropes in 30 years. Back then jump ropes consisted of a thick cotton rope with a wooden handle attached to either end. Functional, but definitely not built for durability. Enter the BARACUS Jump Rope for men and women. When I opened the package I was a little intimidated by all of the small parts. I have to assemble a jump rope? Well, after a few YouTube videos I was up and running in 10 minutes. Assembly was painless, and in the end it all made sense why some assembly is required. Everyone can’t use the same jump rope based on their height, so this allows you to customize the rope for YOU.All the parts you need are included which consists of two cables of different gauges. The thicker one is for beginners, while the lighter, thinner one is for added speed. You also get two metal “stoppers” and 4 screws of two different sizes. One set of two for each cable. Assembly is as easy as sliding the cable ends into the handles, slide a stopper on next, then tighten it down onto the cable with one of the included screws. Repeat for the opposite side, then you’re all set. Once you’re sure the size is right, you can cut off the excess cable, then slide the rubber cap on the end. That’s it, and now you’re ready to jump some rope. Future adjustments are as easy as loosing the stopper, sliding it down, then tightening it again.I was really impressed with the build quality, and how light the handles were to grip. I never worried about them flying out of my hands during my workout. The nylon coated cables should lend to the durability, and they seem easily replaceable if that came to be necessary. I’d definitely recommend this set for someone looking to add this to their home gym, or work out regimen.

Picked this set up to keep at a vacation camper that we have. The carrying case is very nice although maybe a tad small for the rope as it requires your to coil it a bit tighter than I feel is good for the cable.The two sizes of cable is good for different speed and workouts. I wish the handles had thumb nuts on them to allow for faster switch of the cables. As is the cables are only replaced by using the included hex wrench.The handles feel good, are light weight, and spin well. The cables are coated for protection from the ground but still hurt like the dickens when you hit yourself with it.
