Bowl itself is good, takes some practice.
It’s pretty small, but it sings clearly and beautifully. This is the only singing bowl I’ve owned and I use it for meditation. It took a bit to learn how to use it properly, and I was tempted to return it because I thought it didn’t work. If you can’t get it to sing I’d recommend watching a couple YouTube videos, and try out different positions of holding the mallet. I’m taking one star off because the little cushion it came with was already coming apart when it got to me, and the mallet feels pretty cheap. For the price it definitely does what I wanted though.

Looks nice, but doesn’t sing or stay on pillow.
Got as a gift for my nephew. While it looks lovely and rings when you strike it with the wand, it doesn’t sing when you run the wand along the outside like it’s supposed to. The pillow it comes with is too smooth and as a result doesn’t help keep the bowl in place. Instead, the bowl slides around easily making it difficult to use.

I was surprised and pleased by the quality of this bowl. It is equally as nice as the larger one I usually use, and because of its smaller size, will be easier to carry with me. It is actually larger than I expected, given that the description calls it “3 inches.” That measurement was taken across the top opening, not from outside curve to outside curve. The tone is lovely and clear, especially when using the padded portion of the rod.

Takes effort and patience
This is a smaller bowl and I don’t know if it’s user error or the bowl itself but it has not “sung” once. The mallet dings are quite lovely but I’m unable to get it to sing even with following proper technique and instructions. I believe this will take time and patience to truly work but this is a beautiful bowl!

Lovely tone!
This tiny bowl has such a lovely tone! It took me a bit to get it sounding and I tend to be impatient but once I figured it out it was such a nice tone.
