Pretty easy to use, seller is very responsive, and results didn’t take too long
I’ve never used a blood test kit like this, so I thought it would be interesting to try. It comes with instructions, three lancets, two alcohol pads, two Band-Aids, a prepaid mailer, a test card, gauze, and a dessicant bag for the test. The instructions are very straightforward, so I thought this would be a pretty easy process.The first step is to register your kit online, then use the alcohol pad to clean your finger, and the lancet to pierce the skin. The instructions vary a bit here – the test strip says to place 4 large blood drops, the online instructions say 4-6 blood drops, and the written instructions say several drops. I did have a difficult time getting enough blood to come out from the lancet hole, and ended up using a second one on a different finger and really squeezed it. The test strip says to put enough blood in two squares so that it bleeds through to a line on the rectangular part, but in the time it took me to get large enough blood drops onto the square, it had started to coagulate, and the blood failed to reach the required line. I’m not sure if I was doing something incorrectly, though I believe I did follow the instructions correctly. I contacted the seller via Amazon, who responded quickly and told me to mail in the sample anyway, and that they would send a free replacement kit if this test card wasn’t sufficient. I mailed in the kit, and about two weeks later, I received an email with a link to the results.At the time of this review, this product was $189, which seems about average for similar at-home blood test kits. I think this price could be worth it for someone who wants specific information, especially with this particular type of kit.

A good value for basic hormone results
I found this hormone test pretty easy to use overall.It did take quite a few drops of blood to fill each square, and my finger was a bit bruised for a day or two afterward. Still, it was much more convenient than going into a lab for bloodwork.The turnaround time was reasonable. I got my results about 11 days after mailing it out.One thing I was a little disappointed by is that I didn’t receive any customized food or supplement recommendations. The product description made it seem like that would be included. My results were all normal, so maybe that’s why, but it wasn’t very clear.Overall, it’s a convenient option if you want to test at home, just don’t expect a lot of personalized guidance with the results.
