After using this power tower for approximately three weeks with regular workouts 4-5 times per week, I can confidently say this is incredible gym-quality equipment that rivals commercial fitness center power towers at a fraction of the cost.Build Quality – Gym Quality ConstructionThe FLYBIRD power tower is built like commercial gym equipment. The steel tube construction is heavy-gauge and substantial, providing rock-solid stability that inspires confidence during use. After three weeks of aggressive workouts including weighted pull-ups and dips, the frame shows zero flex, wobble, or structural degradation.The powder-coated finish is smooth and durable, showing no chips or scratches despite regular contact with weight plates, belts, and general use. The welds are clean and strong, suggesting quality manufacturing and long-term structural integrity.The 800-pound weight capacity is clearly not marketing exaggeration. At approximately 200 pounds bodyweight plus additional weight from dip belt, I’m nowhere near stressing this tower’s limits. Nice solid station, but the adjustment features are a bit wonky.
I am a fitness coach. I am also very short — like I am a whole 5ft tall. I was attracted to this item due to the fact that it had a bunch of adjustment options. It could come down to the earth for shorties like myself who can never reach a pull-up bar without a little assistance, or go up high for the tall people in my life.PROS:~ This thing is heavy — a two-hand lift was not an exaggeration, especially carrying it down stairs.~ Assembly win: everything you need is included, and the hardware was arranged and labeled by step. Brilliant idea. I wish more manufacturers would do this.~ It is solid heavy metal. That weight means stability.~ It is a great value for the price.~ There are rubber feet to prevent scratching floors or sliding.~ I love being able to adjust the pull-up bar height. Being short, I usually cannot reach pull-up bars without a step.~ This is a super versatile machine. You can do knee raises, pull-ups, chin-ups, push-ups, inverted rows, or attach bands to it for additional exercises. The machine will not be pulled over or move across the floor.~ The padding is ample and helps with grip and comfort.~ The magnetic pins are a cool and useful feature. Others should adopt this idea.NEUTRAL:~ I would call this high-end home equipment, not commercial. The main structural pieces are solid, but the adjustable pieces have more play in them than you would find on commercial grade equipment. I do not expect them to fail, but the movement is noticeable.~ This is more the size of a commercial piece of equipment than a typical home unit. It is large and heavy — make sure you have the space, both vertically and in terms of footprint. I plan to put this in my garage gym when I build it out.CONS:~ Assembly con: the pieces are only labeled “left” and “right” with no numbered stickers. It would have been helpful to label the pieces by step the way they labeled the hardware. With so many pieces it was a little overwhelming at first, but two heads figured it out.~ Mine arrived with some pretty bad scratches in the powder coating. This did not affect use, but I wish they had included a small container of touch-up paint like some other companies do.~ The pull-up bar at its lowest setting faces forward toward the rest of the machine. I bonked my head going to do knee raises with the bar at it’s lowest setting. Higher-end stations have the pull-up bar facing the other direction — I may flip mine. My 6ft mechanical engineer husband does not think it would tip. I will have him test that if I decide to go that route.~ Adjusting the pull-up bar height is a two-person job.~ The knee raise assist is just… weird. It never felt smooth. It made the movement harder rather than assisting it — which can be useful as a progression, but it is advertised as an assist. It also encourages hip flexor use rather than targeting the lower abs. And frankly, people struggle with bodyweight dips and pull-ups, not knee raises — which is why gyms have machines to assist those movements. I ended up removing that bar entirely. It got in the way of everything else. The cost to engineer and manufacture that piece could have been better spent elsewhere.( Maybe they could repurpose it as an inversion feature *thinking*).~ The height adjustment does not include the dip and knee raise portion of the machine. Not a big deal for knee raises due to the foot pads, but short people will still need a step for the dip handles if they want to avoid wrenching out their shoulders. Boo.~ As the dip bar does not adjust vertically, it limits its use for inverted rows since you cannot change the difficulty by raising or lowering it.~ The dip bars adjust in and out forward to aft, which makes them a little shaky. I have never seen that adjustment on a dip station before. Perhaps it is for the knee raises? But I have not seen that feature on a commercial knee raise machine either. Either way. a medial-lateral adjustment to accommodate different shoulder widths would be more useful than the anterior-posterior adjustment currently offered.~ The push-up bars are fixed to the feet at a set distance with no adjustment. Not a dealbreaker — other gym equipment can easily function as a push up bar — but worth noting.~ The pull-up bar sits very close to the machine rather than extending outward. Higher-end stations have the pull-up bar facing the other direction so the dip and knee raise arms help counterbalance the weight.Overall this machine works decently well, but it did not live up to my hopes in terms of adjustability. Most serious gym equipment is designed with taller users in mind and women have to figure out how to make it work. The intention to create a uniquely adjustable niche machine is there and appreciated — but only the pull-up bar adjustment truly delivers. Ignoring the quirks in the adjustments, this is a workhorse. It allows many different exercises, is heavy and solid, and will handle whatever a serious lifter throws at it.REVIEW SUMMARY:My goal for each review is to list both the pros and cons of the product as I see it.- I reserve 4 (like) and 5 (love) star ratings only for products I would either recommend to others or buy for myself.- 5 stars are reserved for products that excite or amaze me, are high quality, and work as advertised.- 4 stars are for items that mostly work and that I like, but there are some improvements that could be made.- 3 stars (it’s ok) I would recommend with reservations. There are some positive product features, but the product has a/some major issues or flaws that I would like to see resolved first.- 2 (don’t like) and 1 (hate) are for items that don’t work or quickly fail. For items that fail, I like to contact the sellers first to resolve the problem as it may be a manufacturing issue.
