Helps you fall asleep
This helps with white noise. I have tinnitus and the soft sounds from this machine help me fall asleep. It has a timer on it so that it shuts off automatically after a set amount of time.I like that it is small enough to fit under my pillow and it does not bother my husband with the noise.

love this product
I am a firm believer is background sound fro sleeping babies. I bought this for my sitters home. She loved it so much she bought herself one so now I use this while in the car and when shes sleeping in her stroller so I can keep my phone with me instead of using my sound app. Lots of people said this product didn’t turn on…they failed to read the instructions. You have to hold down the power button not just press it. I seen people in videos just pressing it. I love this product and we actually have this same brand but a bigger one in each of our rooms.

Decent sounds, reasonable battery life, poorly thought out timer options
I actually got my first unit replaced because I was too dumb to figure out how to turn it on. (Either the product instructions were missing or my kid managed to throw them out before I saw them.) Anyway, you have to hold the power button on for several seconds before anything happens.Once that’s done, it’s a decent enough sound machine. (And yes, since this is intended to be a portable travel unit, the long push to turn on actually makes a lot of sense since you don’t need it playing in your suitcase. It just wasn’t obvious.)My biggest complaint is the auto-off option. You have the choice of a 15, 30, or 45 minute timer, or simply on all night. Since we got this to help our kids fall asleep, we don’t want it on all night – the batteries won’t last that way – but they also don’t always fall asleep inside of 45 minutes. Having a noise suddenly stop when you’re half asleep can be nearly as startling as having one start. Options like 30, 60, and 120 minutes would have made me much happier.

Great for travel
Perfect for traveling. We use the full size one for home since the batteries would only last a day in the travel one. I keep it on the entire night for my babies. They sleep great with it. I love that it has a timer and an option to play continuously.

Good sound, auto-off timer a plus, but meh battery life and not enough volume increments
The shipping time for this product was adequate. I used batteries that I had lying around the house, so when I pushed the power button and nothing happened I thought the batteries were dead. I almost went out and bought more, but luckily I read the instruction manual which states that the power button needs to be held down for three seconds to turn on, a needless complication in my opinion. The sound options are pretty good, but the auto-off timer is by far the best aspect about the product.Pros:*Auto-off timer 15, 30, 45 minute settings*High volume*Easy coin-screw backing*White noise, rain, and ocean sounds are great*Convenient non-slip silicone backing, offering the option of laying the machine on its back without wobbling instead of standing upright on the rickity standCons:*Power button needs to be held down for three seconds to turn on*Cheap stand. Luckily it pops out easily (too easily in general, though) instead of breaking if it falls over*Not enough volume increments, goes from silent to sufficient to LOUD*Cricket sounds are very high pitched*Battery life is meh, lasts about a month if you use it nightly on the 15-30 min setting

Excellent
This is an excellent sound machine by Homedics. I found that it was powerful and worked well for any room. It is not electric it does not have a cord. It only operates on batteries. I highly recommend.

Don’t waste the money or time
Worked okay for a couple weeks. Then the sound stopped after 20 to 30 minutes. Changing batteries multiple times did not help. After a couple months, it lasts less than 2 minutes on any mode. No amount of off time helps. It has been one of my biggest let downs and waste of money

Very good and compact. I struggled with finding a simple, classic noise machine that does not have a million other capabilities (why does every machine want to be a smartphone?) after unfortunately damaging my old Brookstone Tranquil Moments sleep machine. Another plus is that it is battery-powered, since I do not prefer to leave anything plugged in overnight.Does a good job putting me to sleep but the power on light is a little bright and cannot be turned off, which can be a little bit of an impediment if you’re sensitive to light when falling asleep.

Nice ambient sounds, Quality ones. Perfect for ensuring my baby sleeps well in the busy neighbourhood with lots of noises, It helps us to fall asleep as well at times 😉 Buy this if you have rechargable batteries or Occasional use with normal batteries.
