K&K 1.1inch 1-Infrared Professional Infrared Hair Curling Iron Heater Ceramic Barrel That Stays Hot 1.1 Inch Hair Iron Curler for Medium to Large Curls Travel-Ready International Dual VoltageThis was my first time trying this type of hair appliance. I used it on natural hair that was just flat ironed. It did a good job in curling the hair. The iron is not heavy on the hand. The cord is long and doesn’t tangle of get in the way. Due to hair texture, I must use the highest setting. On the highest setting, there was no burn hair smell or other unlikeable incidents with my hair. The curls last at least a day, depending on the temperature outside of course. I appreciate the extra goodies that came with the curling iron. It takes longer to do the style, but the style is nice and neat once done.

Added style time not worth the benefits
I would rate this between a 3-4 stars. I am comparing this to a traditionally heated curling iron because I think that’s one of the questions- would you go traditional vs infrared technology?As far as the benefits go for the infrared technology, I think that unless you were to use this product for several months to see if there is truly a difference, any little differences are hard to tell and may not be worth it. Ultimately, I didn’t like how this curled my hair. I had to use the highest temp to get any sort of real results. Even then, it would curl about mid-length and the ends just wouldn’t do anything. Coming out the curls they relaxed super fast and ended up being a really loose wave. I like a more loose curl and beachy waves, but this was way looser than that and not close to the results I get on my usual curling iron. Also, I had to hold this in my hair 3-4 times longer just to get some curled results so it takes a lot longer than my traditional method. Yes the infrared might be beneficial for the health of your hair, but there are other things you can do to minimize hair damage and to strengthen your hair if needed. There was a slight burning smell which could’ve just been from using a new product.Other barrel sizes of this product or other models have the ability to turn the fan on and off, but not on this one. There is a fan with a constant low buzzing that does get a little annoying after awhile. There is a power button that lets you switch between several different heat levels. There is no lock button so depending on how you hold the tool, you can inadvertently switch to a different temp without realizing it. There is a double beep that sounds when heat level has been reached. It takes about a minute to heat up. There is a wrap for the cord which is nice to be included, and has a glove and hair clamps. The top of the barrel has a plastic spot to hold and it didn’t get warm so I didn’t need the glove at all.In general, this product won’t be my go-to item just because of the added time to style and the lack luster results, but it could easily be more effective for someone else.

Horrible, faulty, and dangerous
This hair curler worked for only 10 seconds once it finally turned on. It took several attempts with the single button on/off toggle to even get the product to turn on. Once it turned on, it quickly lit up orange with the heating coil element inside heating quickly. It curled the couple batches of hair great right away, but then had a couple of “pop” sounds and then no longer lit up and does not get hot anymore, just buzzes like in the video. No hair product was used in the hair or any wet hair, so it was definitely a curling iron product issue. I am glad my hair was not in the curler when it popped and sparked or we may be having a different kind of review. This product is faulty and dangerous! Stick to the standard irons, not this one!

K & K 1.1 inch infrared ceramic barrel curling iron. It was packaged super nicely and looks very professional. This RED light therapy iron heats up in 10 seconds. Wow! This curling iron is for medium and large curls and won’t damage your hair. The red light therapy heats the curl from the inside out, so you’ll have less damage and frizz.

Cord length is very long
This infrared hair curler works pretty well. The cord length is very good, allowing me to not be restricted while curling my hair and using the curling iron. I’m not sure if the infrared feature is doing much however it does look cool and stands out when I use it. It heats up quickly and offer several different heating options that you can Choose from.

This curling looks a lot like a light saber with its glowing infrared wand. It heats up really fast (10 seconds) and has a long barrel and a nice long swivel cord. It’s easy to operate and it does look pretty cool while you are using it. On the downsize, it seemed to not stay consistently hot and it seemed to be cycling on and off frequently. The infrared technology does not seem particularly useful and my curls tend to fall out when I use this wand.

Curls the hair
This was my first experience with infrared light hair tools. The hope is that it’s less damaging for your hair. Time will tell.It took a little longer to curl my hair but otherwise works about the same. The fan runs constantly and there is no way to turn it off but it didn’t bother me too much.
