This is a great base layer set. The inside is a fairly thin, but effective layer of fleece. The outside is a polyester that appears to be moisture wicking, which is a huge bonus for a base layer. I normally wear a large, and ordered this set in a large, and it fit me perfectly. The top & bottom overlap, which is nice, so you don't end up with any gaps as you move in this set. I originally purchased this set to take with me to Alaska, but I had an opportunity to test these while at home in Alabama and needing to work outside in about 30 degree temps (single super cold day in December). This set did the trick! I wore a heavy crew neck sweater and some work jeans over this set, and with working, I stayed comfortable! I know this will be a great set for when I travel to Alaska in February, as it's bound to keep me warm in all the activities I have planned. It comes in at a good price, too! Listing is $18, which I would pay for a set like this, but is currently on sale for $16. If you're looking for a good winter weather base set, this will serve you well!

The two pieces are a soft jersey knit with a thin fleece lining, which makes them the perfect thickness to go under clothing. The sleeves come to the bottom of my thumb. The elastic in the waistband is soft and gives enough to not cut into my waist. They were really warm when I had them on inside. After I tried them on, I ordered another pair!
