CUSTOM COMFORT FOR DIFFERENT DAYS Choose from 12 manual speeds or 3 auto programs depending on how you want to move that day. Forward and reverse pedal motion adds variety to your seated routine, whether you want light daily movement or a more active session.
READY FOR REAL LIFE AT HOME OR WORK Fully assembled and compact, this seated pedal exerciser fits easily under many desks or beside a chair. It includes a non-slip mat, straps, power cord, user manual, and remote control, so you can start using it right out of the box.

    Quiet and easy-to-use
So, I am using this as I write this. It says it can be used manually, with it turned off, forward only. Or you can use it on one of the 12 pre-programmed modes or on manual exercise (HR) which means you create the program using the 12 available speeds and two directions. There is a remote, which takes 2 AAA batteries, which is very nice so you don’t have to crawl under the desk each time you want to change something. There is an off button on the back that they recommend turning off after use. The remote allows you to change the modes and view your results. I like that once the program finishes you still have an opportunity to view your scores. You know, time, distance, calories, etc. The second time I used it I did it in one of the manual speeds to try going backwards. When I had to get up to get something I accidentally turned it off instead of using the Start/Stop button. I did lose all the data that time. The third time I used it I tried raising my chair a little bit. It felt like my knees were rising higher than my hips on the top of the rotation before I raised my chair. I also tried a different mode and learned that the modes really are all different. The directions don’t tell you what the difference in the 12 modes is so I guess I will have to just try them all to find out. Mode 12 seems to be slow, then medium, then really fast forward, then really fast backwards. Had to stop that one as it was too fast but I did try mode 6 which had a variety of forward and backwards rotation. If you don’t want to use the remote everything that you can do on the remote you can do on the face of the elliptical as well. This is only for seated use. It specifically says in the directions not to stand on it. I have tried it both in forward and backward and it works pretty well. I get antsy and restless when I sit for long periods of time and my hip starts to hurt after a while but usually I am concentrating so hard that I don’t think about getting up and moving around. We will have to see if this helps with any of that. There is only one thing that I can see might be a problem. Like most desk chairs, mine is on wheels. In manual mode (with the power turned off) it is really hard to pedal without the unit sliding forward into the wall or me and my chair sliding backwards. The problem with the unit sliding forward is that the plug sticks out the middle of the back and that’s what hits the wall. And since it isn’t exactly centered the whole unit starts to shift to one side. I imagine the plug being shoved into the wall probably isn’t good for it. The unit doesn’t move around when it’s in operational mode but sometimes my chair wants to move. I have had to grab the edge of the desk a few times to pull myself back. Fortunately, that isn’t happening so often that it’s a distraction. Backwards seems to cause it more than forward and faster speeds seem to really cause it to happen. It’s also so quiet you will hardly know that it’s on.I’m excited to be able to continue to use this to get some movement during the day so maybe my hips, knees, and ankles won’t be so cranky when I stand up after working for a long period of time.

Small Machine, Big Excuse To Keep Moving
I picked this compact leg exerciser because I spend a lot of time sitting on the couch watching TV, and I really do not want to feel like a full time couch potato even if the sofa is ridiculously comfortable and piled with soft pillows. The machine slides easily into the space between my two chairs and stays stable on the carpet without wobbling around under my feet, which surprised me in a good way. The pedals feel solid and grippy so my feet do not slip, and the low profile lets my legs move without banging into the furniture even in that tight little corner. The simple display lights up clearly so I can keep an eye on speed and time while I zone out to a show, and the movement feels smooth enough that my knees and ankles do not complain afterward. I like being able to go forward or backward to change things up, and the motion is gentle enough that it still feels like low impact exercise rather than a full workout that leaves me exhausted. What really sells me on this thing is how quiet it is when it runs, because I can use it while watching movies or talking without raising the volume, and nobody in the house has started a noise revolt yet. I sit back on the sofa, rest against the cushions, and just keep my feet going, and it honestly makes me feel better about the time I spend in front of the TV since I know I am at least loosing some calories instead of just sitting completely still. The included remote is handy when I do not want to lean over to change speeds or modes, although the little buttons could feel slightly more raised for easier use by touch. It comes ready to go once it is plugged in, and the compact size makes it easy to push out of the way beside the chair when company comes over so the living room does not look like a mini gym. For anyone who wants a simple way to keep their legs moving while relaxing, this small gray pedal machine fits nicely into everyday life without taking over the whole room or the whole evening.

Great Quality Machine to Add A Little More Movement to Your Life
This is not factored into the rating but it needs to be said. Although in the pictures in the description of the product, they have a person standing on the elliptical and it states in the description that it is rated for 500 lbs, there is a sticker on the machine that says do not stand on it!So this machine is great for what I call passive exercise. It something you can do without really putting your mind to it that can improve your fitness. Before when I saw under the desk (or seated) exercise machines like ellipticals and cycles, I always thought of them being manual, they move on your energy alone. When I saw this was motorized, I decided to try it.This machine is very quiet. It will not distract you while you are watching TV or working. It is easy to set up, take it out of the box and plug it in. It comes with a remote control so you don’t have to bend over and adjust the setting. It has a nice little remote holder so you won’t misplace it. The movement is very smooth. You can let the elliptical guide you and just let you feet go with motion or you can exert a little pressure to work the muscles more. It can go forward or backwards. This machine would be great for:- rehabbing individuals who cannot walk or walk much,- people who are sedentary and need something to help with their circulation,- people who spend too much time on the couch and want a little something to make them feel less guilty- people who work a sedentary job and despite having a sit/stand desk is afraid of using a walking pad in the stand position due to fear of falling off ( or is that just me?)Overall it’s a high quality machine at a decent price point that will provide an extra bit of activity to your daily life.
