Food Hack
This product makes any diet a breeze. Calorie deficit, low fat, etc. I am on a strict post gallbladder removal diet. Extremely low fat with lean meats. I can only have 15g of fat per meal. This has helped me accurately weigh anything I am eating. I recommend this to anyone struggling to accurately measure or weigh foods. Paired with the app it is a wonderful tool!

This is so much easier than my old one that had some sort of fit. The two different scales are very nice to use, especially with my making body butters. This is very easy to read and switch between different readings.

Precision is not Accuracy!
This scale was off by about 3% from a known reference weight weighing 33.4 grams. I would expect the percentage of the error might increase with the weight if not just the magnitude of the weight difference.”Precision” is the repeatability of a measurement. The more detailed the measurement can be made (i.e., more decimal places), the more “precise” the instrument is whether it be a scale, ruler, etc.”Accuracy” is the actual value of a substance, whether it be the true weight, length, etc. It is by definition a repeatable measurement. The degree to which can be defined (decimal places) is the instrument’s precision at providing an accurate measurement.Maybe this scale is good enough for the kitchen.. My desire is to do a lot more with it than that. The consequences of it being wrong doesn’t work for me.BTW, the screen is relatively dim. Relative to the images presented online. Relative to another kitchen scale that I have that is accurate.

Included with this are:- Duale platform kitchen scale.- 2 x AAA batteries- User manual- Plastic hard cover for the smaller platform with foam insert.What surprised me most about this scale is its weight, it weighs about 643g so it’s a hefty little device. The brushed stainless steel surfaces are really nice.The buttons are capacitive buttons.Things I really liked:- Dedicated on/off button, no long pressing required to turn it off. Just a simple press and it’s done.- Pressing down on any of the buttons does not change the displayed weight. I’ve got other kitchen scales which have a uniform surface and what bothers me is that each time I tap on a button, the weight changes since it’s a single piece of glass. None of that here since the 2 platforms are independent of the control panel.- Large backlit easy to read LCD display. Very good horizontal viewing angles. Vertical viewing angles are not as good here as is with most LCD displays. What would make this product even better is if it used a LED display instead. If your eyes are too far over the large platform area, you cannot read the display, which is fine since most times your head will be either directly over the display or lower than the display.- The ability to add the weights of the two platforms together, although it only shows the display on the platform 1 line, so you lose the fine resolution of the smaller platform. No 0.XX is brought over from the smaller platform.- Combination of a large scale with a fine scale, thus not needing 2 different scales when baking. The larger platform has a max capacity of 15 kg and a resolution of 1 g. The smaller platform has a max capacity of 500g and a resolution of 0.01 g. There was no mention of accuracy in the manual.The plastic cover for the small platform has a piece of foam attached to the inside, so when using the lower scale, make sure to remove the plastic covering first as it makes contact with the small platform so if you don’t remove it first, you’ll need to tare it.It’s best to use alkaline batteries with this and not use rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. If the voltage drops too low, the backlight automatically turns off when you turn it on and it is difficult to read without the backlight, although you still can make it out.This scale is very sensitive, so when using it, make sure you’re using it on a perfectly flat surface. I noticed it doesn’t have a circle indicator on this scale to indicate that the reading is stable. If you use this on an uneven surface, the values will shift during use. The smaller scale is also very sensitive, so even a simple breeze from someone walking or breathing on it by will affect the reading.In my basic testing on the smaller scale, accuracy was spot on below 40 g, above 40 g, there was an offset of +0.05g. I used 2 x 20 g weights to determine this. When I measured both weights, the values were exactly 20.00g for each. Combined, I got 40.05g. I weighed something else which was under 40g and when I added the 20g weight to it, it weighed exactly 0.05g more than 20g.Units available on the large scale are g, kg, lb, oz, lb & oz, ml, milk ml.Units available on the small scale are g, lb, oz, lb & oz, ml, milk ml.The screen is actually a deeper blue than shown in the pictures.

I’m really happy with this kitchen scale. I bake a lot, and most of my recipes are in grams, so having something reliable is important. This scale measures in full grams (no decimal points), and honestly, that’s exactly what you need for normal baking and cooking. It’s very accurate and consistent — if I need 666 g, it gives me 666 g every time. There’s no real reason to measure tenths of a gram for everyday kitchen use.It’s also very easy to use. The tare function works well, the display is clear, and the scale responds quickly. I like that it’s lightweight but still feels sturdy, and the battery life has been great so far.Some people mentioned wanting decimal points in grams, but unless you’re doing very specialized micro-measuring, this scale is perfect as is. For regular cooking and baking, the 1-gram accuracy is exactly what you want.Overall, this scale has been a big help in my kitchen, and I definitely recommend it.
