Works great at a fraction of the price of the hospital model
Last year, I began working with the Orlando Health Program for Health Improvement. Testing over several months, they used a professional body composition analyzer to measure my progress. I was intrigued by this and decided to find a home model for me. After a LOT of research and YouTube videos, I chose the RunStar Smart Full Body Composition Scale (FG2015ULB).After it arrived, I found it was very easy to set up and the Starfit app paired immediately with my iPhone. I had my first report fifteen minutes after unboxing it!Having the Orlando Health report from three months earlier to compare, I was amazed to discover how close the figures from the RunStar were to the $2,000+ pro unit. Reading the reviews informed me of the importance of taking the readings under the same conditions to get consistent results; same time of day, 1 hour after workout, proper hydration, etc. The main point is the RunStar delivered a comprehensive report which will allow me to check my physical well-being as I age. I am currently 72 and just completed my 216th triathlon.

It lets you know how your body is responding to your diet and exercise.
I purchased this item about six months ago. Had a lot of problems with it. I talked with a company representative who was fantastic. Shipped out a replacement immediately . I have been using it daily and the smart scale has been great. The fact that it measures so many categories is beneficial. I discovered that I favored my right side as per the fat and muscle monitoring. I then begin placing more attention (increasing the number of reps when exercising) to my right arm and leg. After several weeks my right side became balanced with the left. It also served as a warning to me when I failed to consume enough water for what I was doing. I found that monitoring a multitude of body functions helped me to avoid the dreaded plateau and identify potential problems such as muscle imbalance between my left and right side.Also, a very important factor for any consumer is being able to contact a company representative in a reasonable time. I always got a reply, usually with hours. I highly recommend this company. They are very knowledgeable and go the distance to insure your questions are answered and you are fully satisfied with the item. Linn Foust

Good but a bit pricey.
First of all this scale is pretty OK however in terms of the software and hardware, I don’t think it is very different though ones that are made by chip Chinese manufacturers. So although I kinda like it, I cannot recommend it to buy at a regular price. Grab this one when it is on sale then I think you would like it very much.I also experienced a lot of different models, including this one and some other Chinese cheap brand and also GE models. They are not really all that different in terms of the performance regarding how accurate the smart functions are, so I think you should not expect that the body analysis will be very accurate. However, if you take it as a reference to track the tendency of your body, then I think it could be pretty useful, even though it is not really accurate.Lastly, I want to mention that this model has a function to lock the cable when you pull it to the maximum. This is pretty convenient because the scale does not consistently pull the handle while you are in measurement. Some other competitors, like the one from GE, do not have this function, and they werevery inconvenient.

And the customer service is incredible: I had a glitch pop up months after the initial purchase and the company was responsive and immediately sent me a replacement!

La bascula es muy precisa, pero la aplicación requiere mejorar. Cuando hace el reporte, la aplicación toma el peso de gente asiatica como referencia (60kg para un hombre adulto de 1.73m), por ende, siempre marca que tengo sobre perso morbido. Lo peor es que no se cómo modificar ese peso de referencia. Ya busque totoriales y nada.

Weight measurement is fine. But the values for body composition fluctuate way too much within and between days. A bit unrealistic that I would lose almost 2% body fat in just 24hours.

So far so good! This has been a great tool to help guide my fitness plan. I measure once per week to get a sense of where I’m trending. This is accurate, consistent and the app is easy to use and understand. Love that it is rechargeable and the charge lasts for a long time. No batteries required.
